Deaf ServicesClasses for the Deaf Community provided in ASL; Basic education, Driver’s License readiness, Employment readiness, apply for benefits assistance (food stamps, SSI, SSDI, transportation, etc.), IL Skills Training, Social skills, budgeting/financial literacy, Computer/Videophone training .
Adult TransitionsServices provided at Robert Morgan Educational Center & Technical College, Lindsey Hopkins Technical College, and Miami Lakes Educational Center & Technical College. Students enrolled in the adult vocational education programs obtain the support they need to graduate, obtain necessary licensure to practice in their field of study, and successfully transition into employment. One-on-one tutoring contingent to program enrolment.
Interpreting ServicesInterpreting Services Department connects your business with the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing community across Miami-Dade through certified and qualified interpreters.
VR Employment ServicesEmployment services to individuals with disabilities referred by VR for employment skills training, resume building, job search and competitive employment options.
VR Pre ETS - Career CampsPre-Employment Career Camps are offered to youth with disabilities who are referred by VR to learn more about careers, post-secondary options and explore financial aid options prior to transitioning from high school.
FAASTAssistive technology available from our loan closet; wheelchair, walkers, commodes, canes, etc., the availability of some items may vary.
WIPAProvide SSI & SSDI beneficiaries with disabilities panning and incentives counseling to make informed choices about employment.
Brain & Spinal Cord Injury Program (BSCIP)Provide service assessments, linkage to services and community resources, apply eligible for Fed, State and County benefits and case management.
Emergency PreparednessThrough partnerships, CIL of South Florida offers the disability community resources and peer support as they prepare for and recover from natural disasters.
Public Health WorkforceProvide a variety of services that directly support public health and benefit the disability and aging populations, such as Health & Wellness education, counseling, and assistance with accessing health care services and vaccinations.
